Winslow Therapeutic Center “Healing with Horses” began building their “Pathway of Hopes” during the spring of 2007. The Pathway offers many ways to invest in the future of the riders at Winslow Therapeutic Center. Dedication Bricks and Stones provide a permanent tribute for someone who has made a special impact on our lives, or a special saying or quote.  Many volunteers made the garden, gazebo, and pathway project possible.  Advanced Pavement Technologies donated the StreetPrint treatment to extend the dedication brick area with a herringbone pattern on a terracotta background.  It provides a convenient path for parents, family and friends who come with the therapeutic clients.  Here they can enjoy a bright spot meant for rest and rejuvenation.  StreetPrint is ideal hardscape to augment landscape since it’s easy to keep with periodic application of a sealer to keep the color bright.  (Click on image at left.)
Winslow Therapeutic Riding Center, on 103 acres in the Hudson Valley community of Warwick, NY, specializes in treating children and adults with disabilities that keep them from moving. Hippotherapy – physical, occupational and speech therapy treatment strategy utilizing equine movement – helps the Center’s clients improve their neurological functions and ability to process sensory input.  Ultimately it helps them improve how they handle daily activities.
