Sweeping & Other Services
A Thorough Sweeping Is Critical Before Seal Coating
For seal coating or rejuvenation to bond well, the asphalt surface must be clean. While edges and certain tight spaces require lots of hand sweeping or a blower, these are not powerful enough to do the whole job. A full-sized self-mechanized sweeper is necessary. It's important that the debris is hauled away and properly disposed of.
Regular Sweeping Must Be Part of Regular Maintenance
It's obvious that large pieces of debris from carelessly handled personal garbage need to be swept up. But, if you want your investment in seal coating and paving to pay off, this isn't enough. Good maintenance also requires that sand from winter time and dirt accumulating during the year is cleaned up regularly before it can eat away the seal coating, helping to break it down and rendering it an ineffective protector of your asphalt surfaces. Otherwise, it would accelerate the formation of cracks and breakdown of the pavement itself.

Within a 30-mile radius of our headquarters, APT does take on snow plowing contracts. On occasion, APT also takes on special tasks to help a client in need. For example, after the completion of the parking lot paving and seal coating project (on time and with minimal disruption) at Hamilton Park Conference Center in Florham Park, NJ, the customer asked APT to help build a long multi-level staircase leading from an upper floor to the parking lot. Time was tight, but the customer trusted APT's word. APT was able to meet Hamilton Park Conference Center's needs -- quickly and effectively. |
